  * Tribological behavior of metals, i.e. under extreme conditions (high pressure, high shearing, high plastic deformation…)
* Mechanism and kinetics of formation of Tribologically Transformed Structures (TTS). Mechanical criteria for TTS formation. Behavior laws under pressure. Experimental and numerical simulation. 
* Third body behavior: solid third body and mixtures rheology and flows within contacts
* Relationship between interface microstructures and tribological properties
* Developments of in situ methodology and tools to measure locally physical parameters within dry contacts
