Multiphysic behaviour of materials under extreme loadings : Experimental techniques

The various developments and implementations within the team include :
  • camera-based measurement of multi-physical fields (displacement, deformation, temperature, etc.)
  • instrumented Hopkinson bars for high-speed camera experiments (over 150,000 images per second)
  • experimental devices for rapid dynamic characterization can be set up in hot and cold chambers (-150°C/350°C)
  • implementation of complex experiments with multiple instrumentation (synchronization, electrical measurements, calibration....)
  • development of digital techniques for processing experimental data (2D images, 3D images, IR images, regularization....)
  • strong coupling with numerical simulation for parameter identification
