Load the file to analyze (see Loading File for Analysis).
If you have done the Input Data process with the KI tool, the Analysis window should open with the KI Analysis tool activated around the fracture and the Data Collector should be open. On the picture, an orange arrow show the direction of fracture.
Analysis of a fracture
In the Data Collector the collected values are :
J : also called G, it is the energy release rate. This rate is calculated independently from KI and KII. The unit of J is J/mē only if the calibration has been done in meters,
KI, KII : stress intensity factors. These factors can be used to calculate J. The unit of KI and KII is Pa.m-1only if the calibration has been done in meters during the intput data process,
KIfromJ : if KII=0, KI can be calculated from J with Irwin's relation. If KII is not null, this value has no sense,
JfromKs : result of the calculation of J from KI and KII with Irwin's relation,
Xo, Yo : coordinates of the fracture front in meters,
Radius : radius of the AOI in meters.
For more information about collected data see the topic Fracture Theory.
