The Area of Interest (AOI) refers to the area which will be correlated by Icasoft.
There are eight tools for creating the AOI. These tools are located on the left side of the Input Data main window :
Select the entire picture,
Ruler tool : take a measurement between two points,
Gage tool : put a linear strain gage on the picture,
Rosette tool : put a rosette strain gage on the picture,
KI/FLC tool : special tool used for fracture analysis (KUNOK=1 in the file Correl.ini) or FLC (Forming Limit Curve) (CLFAOK=1 in Correl.ini),
Linear tool : select a slanting rectangular area of interest,
Rectangular tool : select a rectangular area of interest,
Polygon tool : select a free hand area. To close the polygon click on the first point which is surrounded by an orange square.
You can combine all these selection tools.
You can see the pattern grid form by clicking on the following button :
Pattern grid : show the pattern grid on the picture. If there are several AOI, this function shows where the excluded areas are :
Polygonal AOI with dipsay of the pattern grid
If you want to erase an AOI, use the erase functions :
Erase last : erase the last area drawn on the picture,
Erase all : erase all the areas drawn on the picture.
You can save the AOI if you want to use the same area on another picture. To do so, draw the area on the reference picture. Enter a name for the area in the AOI combo box and click on the save button . The AOI is saved in the same folder where Icasoft is installed (by default C:\Program Files\Icasoft\) under the name "My_AOI-aoi.ini".
Saving of an AOI
To delete an AOI previously saved, select it in the AOI combo box and press (the delete button) on you keyboard.
